Hydrotherapy Funding Options Brisbane

How to Pay for Your Sessions

Hydrotherapy Studio accepts most major funding types. NDIS, CTP, WorkCover QLD, DVA, and Home Care Package clients are bulk billed or invoiced directly — meaning no out-of-pocket cost when eligible (a referral or prior approval is required). We also accept private health insurance via HICAPS, Medicare with a gap payment, and direct payment by card or EFTPOS. Select your funding type below to find out more.

NDIS

We are a registered NDIS provider and bulk bill eligible participants — no out-of-pocket cost for your sessions. You must have physiotherapy or hydrotherapy funding allocated in your NDIS plan. A referral or service agreement is required before your first appointment. Our facility is fully accessible for all mobility levels, including hoist and lifter access to the pool.

WorkCover QLD

If you have a WorkCover QLD claim for a workplace injury, we can bill directly — no out-of-pocket cost to you. A referral from your treating doctor is required before your first appointment. Hydrotherapy is particularly effective for musculoskeletal injuries where land-based exercise is painful or restricted.

CTP insurance logo - compulsory third party motor accident hydrotherapy claims

CTP Insurance

Recovering from injuries sustained in a motor vehicle accident? We bulk bill CTP (Compulsory Third Party) claims, so your sessions are covered at no cost to you. A referral from your treating practitioner is required. Hydrotherapy is well suited to the kinds of musculoskeletal and neurological injuries that often follow traffic accidents.

HICAPS private health insurance logo - claim physiotherapy rebate on the spot

Private Health Insurance

We accept most major private health funds via HICAPS, so you can claim your rebate on the spot. The amount covered depends on your policy and level of extras cover. A referral is not required, though having one may improve your rebate. Check with your insurer about physiotherapy rebates before your first visit.

Medicare logo - EPC referrals accepted for hydrotherapy Brisbane

Medicare

We accept Medicare Enhanced Primary Care (EPC) referrals, which allow eligible patients to access up to five allied health sessions per calendar year. Medicare is not bulk billed — a gap payment applies. The current gap is approximately $30–$50 per session depending on the item billed. You will need a GP Management Plan and Team Care Arrangement referral from your GP. Contact us if you are unsure whether you qualify.

DVA

Gold and White Card holders can access aquatic physiotherapy at no out-of-pocket cost. DVA covers 30-minute appointments. A referral from your treating doctor is required before your first session. We bill DVA directly — contact us to get started.

Home Care Package

If your Home Care Package includes Allied Health or Physiotherapy funding, you can use it for aquatic physiotherapy. Prior approval from your plan manager or care coordinator is required before your first appointment. Once approved, we invoice your HCP provider directly — no out-of-pocket cost.

Self Funded

No referral or insurance required. Anyone can book directly and pay privately. Sessions are $183 for a full hour, $137.25 for 45 minutes, or $91.50 for 30 minutes. We accept all major cards and EFTPOS. Once you have a program, you can also hire the pool independently for $40/hr or $20 per 30 minutes.
